Tips For Mens

Shaving Try shaving in a steamy shower for a nice, close shave. Your hair is a lot easier to cut when its wet and supple. Body Care Spend some time with your skin; cleanse, exfoliate, and moisturize using clean, simple body cleansers and lotions. Masculine rugged features can often mask dry, chapped skin. As you age the skin becomes more dry and may begin to flake - take action now. Fragrances There are a multitude of fragrances for men. Reconnoiter the cologne counter and try out some of the new pheromone-based musks. When you find one you like, shop around often the best deals are had through on-line shopping. Suits Choose a suit that de-emphasizes your extremes. If you're short, look for strong vertical elements: pinstriped suits; and two-button jackets which form a deeper v than the three-button kind. If you're very thin, choose a jacket with wider shoulders. Heavy middles look better in darker colors, monotone from top to bottom.

Hair Care

Oily Hair:

Try to avoid daily washing. The sebaceous glands are overstimulated, secreting more grease onto the hair. This creates a vicious circle where the more you wash is the greasier it becomes.

Another problem with regular washing is that although the roots are greasy the rest of your hair is stripped of oil and the ends become dry and brittle. Use a mild ph-balanced shampoo and wash hair without rubbing the scalp too much. Only apply conditioner to the mid and ends rather than at the roots.

Watch your diet. Oily and fatty foods can contribute to greasy skin and scalp. Best of all is to use those days when you're at home to give your hair a rest from
daily washing. Try using a children's shampoo as these are often mild enough for greasy hair.

Tips For Eyes

Eye Tips

Your Eyes are the windows to your soul. And healthy, sparkling eyes are the sign of a well-adjusted, happy, human being. Needless to say that this is a very attractive quality as well as a sign of true beauty. Something that every person aims for. Now how does one go about achieving this It's quite simple really. One must try to remain calm and relaxed in the most adverse circumstances. Life does not always go the way we want, but always works out best in the long run. If we are accepting and content with our lot then our path automatically smoothens out. But this is the way to true inner beauty. Let's see how we can handle these windows to our soul externally. The easiest way is through make-up. You can always emphasize or intensify the shape and colour of your eyes with the help of a kohl pencil, eyeliners and eye shadows. But the best way to maintain that inner sparkle is to take care of your eyes

How To Look Younger And Beautiful

• Make sure that you drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. It will help your body stay hydrated and flush it free of toxins as well. At the same time, it will make your face glow and shine.
• Always wear a sunscreen lotion when you go out in the day, to protect your skin from harmful ultra violet (UV) rays. Make sure that you are using a sunscreen with at least 15 SPF.
• Visit your hairdresser for a younger hair makeover. Rather than sticking to an old-fashioned hairstyle, go for a younger and more carefree look. You will drop years from your age, this way.
• Pay attention to the lipstick color. Always avoid bright red and brown shades and stick to neutrals, like beiges and pinks.
• Do not overdo with your eyebrows outlining. Subtlety is the key when it comes to eye makeup that makes you look young.
• Get manicures and pedicures done on a regular basis. Go for a facial sitting at least once in a month.
• Avoid wearing round neck blouses, which may draw attention to a drooping posture. You should always prefer wearing V-neck clothes, which direct the eye up.
• Always maintain a proper and confident posture. It not only makes you look younger, but also help you appear slimmer than you are.
• A young fragrance always makes you seem much younger than you really are. According to a survey, women wearing scents with pink grapefruit in it appeared, on average, 6 years younger than their actual age.
• Try to get at least 7-8 hours sleep on a daily basis. It will help you feel younger as well as extremely refreshed.
• It is said that love can make you feel as well as look years younger than your age. Fall in love with your spouse once again. Better yet, fall in love with yourself.
• Avoid processed foods as well as those food items that have too much sugar in them.
• Eat lots of fruits and vegetables. Increase your consumption of food items that are rich in proteins.
• If you are overweight, try to lose those extra pounds, by sticking to a healthy diet and indulging in exercise. No crash dieting please!
• Include the basic steps of cleansing, toning, moisturize and nourishing your skin, in your daily routine.

Gym Tips For Womens

US News ran an article about 4 things women should be doing in their fitness training—but aren’t. Since moms are concerned about getting/staying in shape, I thought I’d share, and of course add my lovely thoughts.
I’m not a workout freak or guru. I do the basics to maintain. I spend about 20 minutes in the gym, 4days a week.
Usually 8 of those minutes are spent chatting with my five gay trainers about fashion, Mariah, gym gossip, and other earth shattering news. 2 minutes are for me filling up my water bottle, and the other 10 for weights, stretching, and updating my face book (thank goodness for wife at the gym!)
But here are the tips:
1. High-intensity training.
All that time coasting on the elliptical at a comfortable pace probably hasn’t done much for your body, says Panama-based trainer Belinda Benn, creator of the Breakthrough Physique home fitness system. In fact, the biggest mistake women make in their training is not exercising with enough intensity, she says.
High-intensity interval training, or HIIT, is typically a 10- to 20-minute workout that alternates short, intense bursts of activity with moderate-exertion recovery periods. “High-intensity interval training is the best way to improve your overall fitness, burn fat, and stimulate your hormones for a stronger body,” says Benn.
How to tell if you’re training hard enough? Look to your body for clues, Benn says. Good indicators are sweating, increased heart rate, and lactic acid production (i.e., feeling the “burn”) during exercise. Moderate muscle soreness for up to a few days post-workout is also a good sign. “If you feel nothing,” Benn says, “you probably didn’t work out hard enough.”
2. Heavier lifting.
For most women, a typical weight-training session equals light dumbbell exercises, says Toronto-based strength and conditioning specialist Craig Galantine, creator of the Turbulence Training Program. But doing fewer reps with more weight—say, 8 reps per set with a 15-pound dumbbell, instead of 15 reps with an 8-pound one—will burn fatter, he says. Lifting heavier will also increase your strength and muscle definition.
Start by swapping out your normal weights

for slightly heavier ones, and gradually work your way up.
3. Upper body workouts.
Women tend to store body fat around the waist, hips, and thighs, so that’s where they typically focus their exercise efforts—neglecting their upper bodies, Benn says.
But you can’t spot-reduce fat, and sticking with what’s easy can stunt your progress, says Benn. Because you may feel weak while attempting pull-ups for the first time, Benn suggests doing the hard stuff at the start of your workout, “when you’re freshest and feeling mentally strong.”
“Focusing on underdeveloped muscles will improve the contours of your body,” Benn says.
4. Training with a barbell.
Think barbells are synonymous with back-breaking chest presses? Not so. “You can do a tremendous workout just with a barbell,” Benn says. “If you’re holding a bar rather than using two separate weights, it forces you to get your body in sync.”
Barbells are great for both upper- and lower-body exercises. Balancing one across your shoulders while doing squats, lunges, or walking lunges helps develop posture and balance, Benn says.
If you’re flirting with a barbell for the first time, go as light as you need to. Even 10 pounds is a good start.

MuscleMass

Muscle Mass Tips

Train very heavy--most the time. The muscles need to be constantly "overloaded" too continually to grow. Reps should stay within the 4 - 6 range.

Constantly challenge yourself to lift more weight. Never settle for a weight less than you have done in the past. Never forget or try to rationalize the fact that BIG weight equals BIG muscles!

After warming up a body part with its first exercise, don’t waste the time or energy warming up again on the following ones. Go straight to the heaviest weight possible! The muscle should already be warmed up. Warm up sets are designed to do exactly what the name implies . . . warm up! Don't waste your time or energy performing a lot of reps with less-than-overloading weight. Save your time and energy for the heavy, working sets.

The form for lifting weights should be done at a good "value." If the weight is too heavy, your form will be too sloppy too be effective. If the weight you use is too light, you may use great form, but you cannot progress without the challenge of incrementally lifting more weight. It’s like buying a car. You could buy the most expensive car to insure yourself of high quality. Or, you could buy the least expensive to save money. Ideally, the best choice is a car of both decent quality and price, or "value." Big weight makes big muscles -- period. I try to use the heaviest weight I can lift with decent form.

Perform every set to absolute failure.

Keep number of sets performed to a minimum, 4-5 on smaller muscle groups, 6-7 on larger ones.

Get a lot of rest before training the muscle again. One body part a week, spread over 5 days--and always take the sixth and seventh day off.

Back up your training with sound nutrition--especially with high-quality protein.

Enhance your training with good supplementation. Get all the information you can so you can take advantage of the tremendous advances in this area—but don’t depend on supplements alone to create your physique. Just as this word clearly states, supplementation is an addition to intense training and sound nutrition.

Be consistent! What you do over the course of time all matters! Let me repeat . . . It all matters! How I train and eat for a show seven months out is just as important as seven weeks or even seven days before a show.

Importance in Apples

An apple a day keeps the doctor away: a very clichéd saying but very true. Photochemical, present in apples, act as an anti-inflammatory and also prevent the blood from clotting. It is also high on fibers and vitamins. An apple also makes the perfect snack for someone who is always on the go. Plus it is available in different varieties, so you might not get bored of it soon. Add a few chopped pieces of apple in your Greek salad making it healthier.

Importance in Lemons

Lemons are a staple of many deter diets, and there is good reason for this. Furthermore, the citrus fruit has an alkaline effect on the body, meaning that it can help restore the body's pH balance, benefitting the immune system. Try starting your day with hot water and a slice of lemon to help flush out toxins and cleanse your system. less

Healthy Breakfast

Self - Improvement

The biggest room in the world is the room for improvement ~ Unknown Author.
Self improvement calls for a positive change in oneself. You don’t have to be compared to anyone or anything to be a better person; it is just how you make yourself feel. If you have the ability to work towards bettering yourself, you can naturally see a change and will definitely stand out in a crowd. Your well being is not just about handling stress or managing your time but it is also about how well you can do it. It is not about finishing a task off quickly and getting an appraisal for it, it is about that lasting success you achieve. The basic aims of self improvement should be: productivity, positivity, good habits, happiness, confidence and leadership qualities and most importantly taking charge of your life. All this sounds a bit too complex to be attained by one person, doesn’t it? Think again. You can achieve all these things, by simply following some self improvement tips.

Self Improvement Ideas
• Meditation gives you that inner peace like nothing else can. Initially, it is a little hard to concentrate and there will be plenty of distractions. Let these distractions be a part of the learning process. After some time, you will notice that all negativity will be removed and you become happier.
• Sleep gives you a sense of calm and freshness when you wake up. But, try a reverse approach. Wake up about 30minutes earlier than normal and see how many more things you can do. Extra time gives you that extra edge to better yourself.
• It takes fewer muscles to smile than to frown! So you know what you should be doing. Smiles make such a big difference, and when someone around you is happy, it sends out positive vibes. Accept compliments with a smile and thank people for them. Be kind to yourself and everyone will do the same.
• Principles are important in a school, college, at work and at home. They are equally important in you. Principles must be set in a realistic way. It can be as simple as not wasting food or as complex as saving paper. Rules are not meant to be broken. So if you keep your principles on, you’ve obviously becoming a better person.
• Have complaints about everything? Stop this. It is an extremely irritating habit. Stay around people who don’t give you a chance to give in to complaints, distract yourself and send out good signals which will increase your people power.
• Find a mentor or a role model who you’d like to be like. You don’t have to become this person mentally and physically, you could implement their way of life into yours. Setting goals is what differentiates a person with good behavioral and mental skills compared to one that has no aim in life.
• Remove unwanted people and things from your life. You are better without them. Go to your room, remove all unwanted letters, posters and make more space for new things. If someone has been bothering you, cut him/her from your life for a while. Lay low till you think you can deal with them. It’s about how you feel. Now, you will have a clear and creative mind for the new things to come.
• Television is for the utterly bored! It is junk for the mind and body. If you feel like you need entertainment desperately, then watch something educative for abou

t 30 minutes or so but don’t drown in the idiot box.

Personality Development

Gentlemen Characteristics:
The word ‘gentleman’ has been coined in such a manner that it has become extremely difficult to define or even understand it properly. In today’s world, this word is used on a casual or on an everyday basis, without people understanding the depth in its meaning. All audiences are addressed as ‘ladies and gentlemen’, when it is a known fact that all women are definitely ‘ladies’ but not all men are gentlemen. It takes certain characteristics and a discerning eye to differentiate between an ordinary man and a nobleman. Only when we learn and comprehend the qualities of a gentleman, can we realize how imprecisely we use the word casually. There are definite principles that govern the qualities that a man must possess order to be labeled as a 'gentleman’. Once upon a time, a gentleman was a nobleman who led the ladies, walked with tailcoats and dropped hats in respect for women or dignitaries. The question here is what defines a gentleman in modern times? Read on to gauge the characteristics of a modern-day gentleman, and how easy it is to transform into one with a few of these important features.

Chivalry:
Yes. Women love a bit off wooing, wheedling, pricey dinners, the opening of doors and definitely expect the typical ‘ladies-first’ attitude from men. These are those few traits and characteristics that have remained unchanged from the yesteryears. A gentleman, on the basis of chivalry, is one who is devoted to making another individual, in this case, a wife, a girlfriend, a daughter or a sister, feel loved, beautiful, respected and secure. Chivalry has always been synonymous with being a gentleman, and women tend to appreciate and notice this trait as a primary differentiation between an ordinary man and a nobleman. Gentlemen, in this aspect, are those who travel that extra mile to make their ladies feel like the ‘queens’ providing them with their matchless love, support and care. Loyalty and valor also make for an important part of chivalry. It takes a lot of work to be chivalrous, and this is one of the prime reasons as to why women prefer gentlemen over others.

Values:
Gentlemen are associated with honourable values and rigid principles. Along with charm, values are also synonymous to gentlemen. Being a gentleman is not important only when you are in the company of a gorgeous lady, it should be a personal development as a whole in general. Being articulate, and not profane, about worldly or personal issues is another important aspect. Along with chivalry, behaviour and values are important elements that women yearn for.

Etiquette:
If you remember ‘My fair lady’ or any of the other classics, gentlemen always have polished etiquettes when at home and in public. From not clinking cutlery to not picking noses, etiquettes are an important part of being a gentleman. So, if you are trying to impress a girl on your first date, then you might want to try and lower the tone of your voice, wear a pleasant smile and be sophisticated in your approach towards her. And that must not be a one-off incident. Gentlemen are well-mannered everywhere and in every situation.

Ambition:
A gentleman is ambitious, usually hard working, diligent and contains a passion to succeed. These people are usually very hard to find in real life. Ambitious gentlemen are always considered attractive, so long as they strike the right balance between humility and the joust to stay at the top. Women always love an ambitious man, but one with a certain level of prudence, humility and patience.

Smooth Not Sleazy:
Gentlemen are the ones who can ‘knock your socks off’ and still be smooth and sharp about it. Blunt men in tuxedos with a fussy approach cannot be labeled gentlemen. The trick here is to be ‘smooth, not sleazy’. Healthy tactics, with a decent and confident approach, characterize gentlemen; it does not depend on the social standing of the individual, nor does it depend on the number of tuxedos he has in his wardrobe. A person who is stable, with a sense of gratitude and a respectful demeanor, is considered to be a gentleman.

Honest:
No matter what the situation is, gentlemen are the ones who stand tall, and stand true to their opinions. Along with the idea of gentlemen being sexy and emotionally appealing, honesty is another virtue that defines a true gentleman. To be able to play the part of the perfect gentleman, it is necessary to be graceful and honest about life.

Charming:
Last but not the least, women expect gentlemen to be charming. In all aspects, a man who respects himself will be better able to respect others mentally and physically, emitting a sort of grace and charm about him. In order to be charming, a man has to strike the perfect balance between etiquette, hygiene, ambition and chivalry. Women always look for charming men who are easy to be with and, above all, who do not take undue advantage of their power and status.
From walking a lady to the doorstep to meeting a humble man to even being someone who is simply well dressed, we all meet men with certain characteristics all the time. But the question to tackle here is, how many gentlemen have we met? In a world with ample quantity of men, it is very difficult to come across or meet men with real ‘quality’. Therefore, it is every man’s prerogative to learn and understand the different aspects of being a gentleman, and if you are not a woman, you might want to reflect on how many ‘real’ gentlemen you have come across in your life.

Types of Personality

Personality Types:
Given a particular situation, the way you think and how your sibling thinks may vary greatly. This reveals the difference in the personality traits that both of you possess despite coming from the same family and background. In order to assess the personality of a person, experts classify personality traits as types A, B and C. Human personality is way too complex and cannot be described based on one theory. For instance, a person with ‘Type A’ traits might also have features of a ‘Type B’ personality also. The way people react when they encounter certain situations can either be similar or very different from each other. It wholly depends on various factors such as upbringing, social circle and also on the influence of friends and dear ones. Factors such as education, environment, social status and intellect are also important in determining the similarities and differences among people. Scroll further to read more about the different personality types.

Type A Personality:
• Type A people are seen as more competitive, great achievers and tend to develop a high sense of urgency towards their work. It is because of these traits that they are always busy and remain at the top of their game.
• Sometimes, however, they start feeling insecure and subsequently become adamant and resistant to change. They even end up fighting such circumstances rather than embracing or adapting to them.
• In order to stride towards the desired goal, they work hard towards achievements and that too, as fast as possible. In doing so, they fight their insecurities rather than ignoring them completely.
• Type A people do not relax or take their work for granted; even if they do, they tend to feel guilty for the same.
• Type A personalities are over achievers and they deal with various unrelated subjects and perform well in everything.
• The problem that these personalities face is that they are stressed frequently due to the number of tasks they undertake. Their expectations of perfection from other people also add to the stress.
• These people are highly competitive and possess an aggressive challenging spirit.
• Such people are generally ideal for sports, finance and any job that offers ample growth and requires focused efforts. They aren’t really cut out for teamwork; they perform best alone.

Type B Personality:

• This type of personality is considered to be just opposite to that of type A.
• Though they are not as competitive as type A, type B personalities can be better achievers and do not get stressed easily.
• They tend to approach problems with a more relaxed and laid back point of view.
• There is a tendency in these personalities to delay work and give results at the eleventh hour. Obviously, procrastination is quite the mantra for type B people while that is one thing that type A subjects cannot even think of.
• These personalities are not in a hurry to finish work and do not have a sense of urgency all the time. They work at their own sweet pace and deliver appreciable results too.
• Type B people like relaxing and they don’t mind taking time off from work to sit idle and/or daydream.
• Such people are ideal for marketing, sales and any job that comes with targets and semi-flexible deadlines and involves people interaction.

Type C Personality:

• People who belong to this category are more interested to know the minute details of everything and don’t mind spending time trying to figure them out.
• These types of people are more suitable for technical jobs.
• They know very well to control their emotions and desire even in cases of extreme discomfort and that makes them ideal for teamwork.
• The problem with this type is mostly lack of confidence that leads to stress and even depression. Type C personalities are more prone to depression than the other types.
• The people who belong to these personality traits are thoughtful and deep thinkers and seek answers for the questions as to what, why and how.
• They are more patient but find trouble expressing their emotions openly and hence, tend to be introverts.
• They have an inherent ability to please people around them.
• Type C personalities are prone to diseases such as asthma, lupus and rheumatoid arthritis.
• They are best suited for technical and back end jobs that require high caliber without much interaction.

Type D Personality:

• The ‘D’ in the type D personality stands for distressed as such people tend to develop a pessimistic and negative outlook towards life.
• They fear rejection which is the reason why they tend to deflect social life despite their interest to be among people.
• They are sensitive and even a small event that the type B’s won’t even notice, can trigger a typical type D day.
• They can easily suppress their emotions and are very vulnerable and easily depressed.
• People with Type D traits are characterized as irritable, gloomy and worrisome. They do not share their emotions with oth

ers and this tendency increases their depressing attitude towards life.
• They are not very adventurous and prefer the same routine; they are resistant to change and are not very adjustable with people and circumstances.
• Such people often suffer from heart related problems and stress and are susceptible to coronary diseases.
• These people are generally seen as boring and have very limited social life.
Now, you might know your personality type. So you can easily identify your flaws and change them to your advantage. That sure will be one good step towards self-improvement.

Easy tips for muscle mass
